Jean-Pierre faced a number of questions regarding Biden’s newly announced campaign
Christian Datoc, Washington Examiner
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre cleaned up an answer from Tuesday’s press briefing regarding President Joe Biden‘s intention to serve out the entirety of his second term in office should he win reelection in 2024.
Jean-Pierre faced a number of questions regarding Biden’s newly announced campaign but declined to answer nearly all inquiries regarding the announcement by citing the Hatch Act.
Still, pressed on whether or not the president intends to serve “all eight years,” Jean-Pierre changed her answer, stating that she’s “not going to get ahead of the president.”
“That’s something for him to decide,” she continued. “There’s a 2024 campaign — anything related to that, I would refer you to that.”
