Senior Research Fellow for Defense Programs at the Heritage Foundation Dakota Wood said there were so many things that could have been done differently and in the 20 years of being in Afghanistan and engaged in this war, and nothing was done to make the situation better.
Wood said for a very small investment, we could have turned this whole thing around. The Biden administration chose a very different path and now has caused more chaos and more damage that has escalated into destruction we never expected to see.
