For the first 16 months of his presidency, Joe Biden was focused on cooperating with Republicans

No this is not from the Babylon Bee!

Tony Colombo, host of Colombo and Katie

Surprises truly never cease! I had to rub my eyes and pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t in some strange dream the other day when I read a story in Politico that was reported, “To the frustration of many Democrats and some of his closest advisers, President Joe Biden has steadfastly spent more than a year in office insisting on trying to work across the aisle with Republicans.”

I know. I didn’t know what to say next either.

According to the story by John Lemire, Biden has just now decided that he’s no longer going to try to work with conservatives due to their “obstructionism” and that it’s time to change course and “go on the attack.”

I know… I know.

Reportedly even the first lady has begged the president to abandon his focus on working across the aisle. Jill Biden told those close to her and Joe that she had been urging her husband to get away from bipartisanship and to be “less scripted and more on the offensive.”

Yes, this is real… I’m sorry.

So, I don’t know if the president is so far gone that he really believes his actions to this point have been focused on working together and uniting the country, or if he thinks that we’re all so stupid that we’ll just believe him despite everything he’s said and done since taking office. (I tend to think the latter.) Either way, apparently the White House has changed course. And if you think politics were already extremely tribal, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

That should fix everything.
