Senate Democrats reach agreement on spending $3.5 trillion for budget bill

Leading U.S. Senate Democrats agreed $3.5 trillion was the right price to spend on the budget reconciliation bill over the next decade.

This enormous amount is a push for Democrats to meet President Biden’s ambitions of strengthening the economy and using federal resources towards their agenda to tackle climate change, health care, and family service programs.
