4Warn Alert: Major Winter Storm Wednesday-Thursday

KMOV Chief Meteorologist Steve Templeton

Tuesday: Low 40/High 53. Scattered afternoon rain showers. A Winter Storm Warning goes into effect Tuesday night into Thursday. 

Morning Drive: Near 40. Cloudy and dry. Just chilly. Wind: S 4-8 mph

Tuesday: High 53.  Scattered showers. Wind: S 10 mph

Tonight: Temps fall below freezing after midnight. Rain mixing with sleet and sow by morning.

Wednesday: (WEATHER ALERT DAY) High 26. Falling temperatures. Rain turns to sleet, snow, freezing rain mix in the morning.  Sleet transitions to snow in the evening or nighttime. A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect into Thursday. Expect hazardous travel.

Thursday: (WEATHER ALERT DAY) Low 20/High 24. Snow could be heavy at times, especially in the morning.  Expect hazardous travel conditions. Accumulating snow should end by evening.  

Friday: Low 9/High 27. Partly cloudy & very cold.
