Vice President Kamala Harris spoke with an affected drawl during a recent campaign stop that was so obviously fake that critics are comparing her to the classic Looney Tunes cartoon character Foghorn Leghorn.
Harris, who became the Democratic Party’s de facto nominee after President Joe Biden was effectively forced off the ticket in July, campaigned on Monday first in Detroit and then in Pennsylvania — and people quickly noticed that she only adopted the accent at that first stop.

In the first clip, Harris delivered her comments in an exaggerated southern drawl: “Ya betta thank a union memba for sick leave, ya betta thank a union memba for paid leave, ya betta thank a union memba for vacation time.”
In the second clip, from later that same day, she reverted to her normal tone: “Thank unions for sick leave. Thank unions for paid family leave. Thank unions for your vacation time.”
“What in the Foghorn Leghorn is Kamala talking about? Why is she talking like that?” comedian Chad Prather asked.
“Kamala Harris speaking in Detroit earlier today vs Pittsburgh a few hours later. Kamala speaking like Foghorn Leghorn in Detroit and sounding normal in Pittsburgh,” YouTuber Dustin Mills posted. “This has to be a comedy gag no way in hell we are living in real life are living in a clown world, it is official Kamala is making Hillary 2016 campaign look competent.”
“It is always cringe when people running for office put on fake “blackcents” but I’ve never heard one sound like Foghorn Leghorn before,” author Larry Correia added.
