“The good news is my prognosis is excellent. My doctors say my treatment plan is for curative intent, and my five-year survival rate is 95 to 98 percent. But I want to end with two things. First, a message to men. Get your checkups. Get your PSA tested. Especially if you’re over 50, and especially if you’re African American, because prostate cancer disproportionately affects Black men.”
